We use the original garment brought back by our buying team as the development reference for the jacket's shape, block placement and trims. Paper-pattern work and cutting establish where the pockets and panel edges fall within the block design, so placement is considered alongside the shape of each piece. The development work then extends to the zip components and chest patch, including stitching the patch onto the pile surface.

RE:DEFINE is closer to the original in the compact appearance of the pile and the definition of the block edges; the market sample looks longer-haired and looser, with less distinct pattern boundaries. At the chest patch, our grey ground is also closer to the original, while the market sample reads noticeably blue-grey.

The block-pattern fleece continues into the stand collar, while the cream ribbed cuffs and hem give the jacket a defined border. At the front opening, the zip reaches the collar edge; the chest patch has a stitched perimeter that separates its flat surface from the surrounding pile. Clearly defined joins let the raised block pattern remain the main feature.
