STAGE 01

Establishing the padded profile

RE:DEFINEPRIVATE ARCHIVE

The source specifies a lightweight 20D shell whose slight blue cast, horizontal compartments and panel joins establish the jacket's appearance. The original reference and opened interior guide the relationship between those shell panels and their construction.

STAGE 02

Integrating the lettered placket and fastening details

The long lettered placket is developed together with the two-way front zip, so the lettering has to sit correctly along the opening. Inside, a small cover at the top of the pocket zipper houses the pull, while silicone reinforcement at the cuffs is designed to help limit incoming draughts. Transfer preparation, snap fitting and sewing carry these details into the assembled jacket.

RE:DEFINE follows the original's horizontal quilting and narrow lettered placket, with the dark shell retaining a similar blue cast. The photographed reference specifies 90% down fill, and the developed jacket is tuned to recover the same naturally full loft rather than a flat, compressed profile. The zip pull and snap flap carry the comparison into the opening itself, while the folded profiles bring the jacket's padded volume into focus.

The original and RE:DEFINE both finish the cuff with an inward-gathered edge and zigzag stitching. Inside, the cord exits, zipped pocket and zip-tape ends continue the same review of how the layers meet, while the badge and engraved snap add compact surface details.
