STAGE 02

Developing the shell and its components

The glossy shell is developed together with the badge, fastenings and quilted construction, so the smaller components remain in proportion to the padded jacket. The reference set includes different original styles and sizes, each with its own filling label, so those garments are kept distinct when the filling specifications are interpreted.

STAGE 03

Filling and closing the quilted sections

The filling equipment supplies the padded sections before they move to the sewing station for closing. Keeping filling and seam construction together is important to the jacket's broad horizontal channels: each section needs space to hold its volume without obscuring the seam lines.

RE:DEFINE follows the original's rounded hood and broad horizontal quilting, with the sleeve-pocket flap and compact badge kept distinct from the glossy body. The close comparisons then carry that balance into the zip pulls, pocket openings, drawcord hardware and snaps; these small fittings need to sit comfortably within the padded shape, rather than dominate it.
