Unlaced uppers are placed against suede material to examine the surface and panel transitions. The checkerboard treatment around the toe is kept tonal, allowing its changing texture to define the pattern.

Preparing the Stitched Patches

Loose heel patches and cut tongue pieces are prepared before the uppers are assembled. The production views connect the embossed lettering and stitched patch borders with their final positions on the shoe.
