DEVELOPMENT

How this piece was made.

STAGE 01

Graphic and Fabric Development

Development focused on balancing the airy cotton-linen body with the deliberately softened Stockholm 1996 artwork. Full-garment and close-up views document the selected sky-blue tone, relaxed proportions and distressed white graphic treatment used to create an aged surface rather than a clean, solid print.

STAGE 02

Print and Finishing Process

Production-stage views show the graphic being applied to cut garment panels and the subsequent hands-on finishing process. This sequence was used to control the irregular, worn character of the artwork and garment edges while keeping the treatment consistent with the intended reverse-process construction.

STAGE 03

Construction Review

The finished garments were reviewed from the reverse side and at close range to check the plain back, relaxed body shape and exposed, lightly distressed edge treatment. These details support the intentionally unfinished visual language without adding decoration to the back panel.

The side-by-side comparison places the reference, our developed version and a market sample under the same viewing conditions. It examines the sky-blue colour, body proportions, placement and faded character of the front graphic, together with the hem construction; visible differences remain in tone, print intensity and edge finishing between the three examples.
