How this piece was made.

STAGE 01

Fabric and Cutting Development

Development focused on translating the warm brown, beige, and charcoal check into a consistent garment layout. The documented production views show the patterned cloth prepared for cutting and multiple cut panels organised for assembly, supporting controlled placement across the main body and sleeves.

STAGE 02

Pattern and Batch Preparation

Full-size paper patterns were arranged over the checked fabric to define the body, sleeve, and smaller construction pieces before cutting. The prepared component stacks show the design moving from pattern development into repeatable batch assembly while retaining the intended check direction.

The developed piece retains the contrast pointed collar, layered polo-style front, long sleeves, and curved shirttail hem, while visible differences remain in check placement and the exact contour and length of the lower edge.

Close comparison shows a similar warm neutral check structure with diagonal twill texture, dark crossing lines, and brown-to-beige colour blocks. The label presentation and attachment are also compared directly; these images support a close visual interpretation, while small differences in weave appearance, colour balance, and finishing remain visible.
