DEVELOPMENT

How this piece was made.

STAGE 01

Garment Development and Finishing

The development focused on translating the relaxed silhouette, warm camel tone, and blue contrast details into a cohesive finished jacket. Production views show the completed sample alongside in-process pressing, used to shape panels and settle seams during assembly.

STAGE 02

Collar and Hardware Development

The blue contrast collar was prepared as a repeated production component with controlled shape and edge stitching. Branded zipper pulls and coordinating zipper tapes were selected to keep the visible hardware consistent with the jacket’s muted camel palette.

STAGE 03

Assembly and Buttonhole Work

Coordinating front and pocket zippers were prepared for installation, with matching tape and metal hardware used across the garment. The production view also documents machine-worked buttonholes on the cuff area as part of the finishing process.

The side-by-side comparison checks the overall front balance, shoulder line, body length, blue collar and cuff exposure, tonal chest embroidery, and central zipper placement. The developed version closely follows the reference arrangement, while minor differences in collar spread and garment drape remain visible.

Close comparisons examine the translucent horn-effect buttons and the camel-toned brushed outer fabric. The developed components reproduce the reference’s warm neutral appearance and soft surface character, with slight differences in button-hole layout and the fabric’s visible nap.
